Despite a growing cynicism and the sure-fire fact that Christmas 2020 is going to be irredeemably crap for me, I have to admit I liked this little display in Whitfield Gardens, off Tottenham Court Road in Fitzrovia.
Despite its quaint name, Whitfield Gardens is generally quite a bleak place with barely any actual gardens or greenery.
That said, every year sees an eye catching Christmas display going up with little fanfare, so you can enjoy some festive vibes without fear of being jostled or elbowed by a frantic, selfie stick-toting gang of Instagrammers.
Here’s how it looked a couple of nights ago.
In the background you can see that the 1980 Fitzrovia mural has had some much needed restoration.
