We strut the inaugural Green Chain walk from Nunhead to Crystal Palace Park

On Sunday we went along for the inaugural walk along Section 11 of the London Green Chain walk, starting at Nunhead cemetery through to Crystal Palace park.

A fair-sized mob of green-cap-toting folks turned up for the ribbon-cutting at Nunhead, but being fast walkers, we decided to accelerate ahead of the main pack.

The walk takes in no less than two cemeteries and a crematorium and you get to see the ‘Oak of Honor’ which lent its name to – you guessed it – the area of Honor Oak in south London.

The walk ended at Crystal Palace, making it a pleasant 5.5 mile saunter.
